Lysozyme C (46-61) (chicken) also known as hen egg lysozyme (HEL)-(46-61) has been reported to be immunogenic in C3H.SW mice but not in MHC-identical C57BL/6 mice despite the presence of immunogenic determinants within this peptide. The unresponsiveness of C57BL/6 mice to NTDGSTDYGILQINSR has been suggested to be due to a difference in antigen processing since removal of Arg61 allows for binding to class II MHC molecules and renders this peptide immunogenic in C57BL/6 mice.

| About TFA salt: | Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a strong acid, which is commonly used to cleave synthesized peptides from solid-phase resins and is also used to improve HPLC performance in the peptide purification step.
